Wooden window frames

Wooden frames are a full-fledged choice here, not an afterthought: wood has a warm, classic appearance, can be made to measure in any profile and is often the only permitted option for listed buildings and protected townscapes. After measuring, the joinery workshop produces the frames to fit exactly, usually factory-primed or factory-finished.

Expect € 700 to € 1,500 per frame, including installation and glazing. The wood species, the profile and the number of opening sections decide where you land in that band. Bear in mind that wooden frames need periodic repainting — that comes with choosing wood.
