HR++ or triple glazing in existing frames

If the frames themselves are still sound but hold single glazing or outdated double glazing, a glazing upgrade is the smart middle step: HR++ or triple glazing in the existing frame. You notice it immediately — less heat loss, less condensation on the inside and noticeably less noise from outside.

Expect € 100 to € 250 per m² of glass, depending on the glazing choice and whether the rebate needs adjusting: triple glazing is thicker and heavier and does not fit every existing frame. The professional assesses that while measuring and tells you honestly when the frame cannot take the heavier glass — in that case frame replacement is the better route.
